What is Esho Podcast Sikhi?
A one-of-its-kind platform, that takes people with an idea to podcast and makes it a reality! Anchor by Spotify, in partnership with Patra Bharati, is hustling to create a space where every voice is valued.
Stalwarts from the podcasting arena will mentor you as you plan, create and produce your own podcast. The program will occur over a period of 4 weeks, consisting of exciting workshops and guest sessions aimed to make a podcaster out of all, whether you are a professional, amateur or beginner.
All you need is a phone and a great idea!

How will it happen?
We will select up to 200 applicants to embark on this podcasting journey. The participants of the program will be guided through every step of the way across a period of 4 weeks, i.e, from pre-production, ideation, creation to post-production - under the guidance of industry experts and mentors.
Your audio recordings must be in Bengali. No fees. Just you and a microphone to amplify your views and unique ideas.

একটা ডিজিটাল অডিও ফাইল, যেটা ইন্টারনেট বা বিশেষ কিছু অ্যাপের মাধ্যমে শ্রোতারা শুনতে পারবেন, ডাউনলোড করতে পারবেন। সাধারণত পডকাস্ট একটি সিরিজ— যা বেশ কয়েকটি পর্বকে পরপর সাজিয়ে তৈরি করা হয়।
কী নিয়ে পডকাস্ট করা যায়?
যে-কোনো বিষয়ে— গল্প, সাহিত্য, ইতিহাস, প্রযুক্তি, বিনোদন, ভ্রমণ, নিজের জীবনের গল্প, লাইফস্টাইল ইত্যাদি।
পডকাস্ট ল্যাব কী?
এখানে বিশেষজ্ঞরা পডকাস্টিং সম্বন্ধে আপনাকে পরামর্শ দেবেন। তাঁরা প্রোডাকশন থেকে পাবলিশিং— এই গোটা প্রক্রিয়ায় আপনার পাশে থাকবেন।
আবেদন করবেন কীভাবে?
চাই শুধু একটা ফোন আর একটা আইডিয়া।
রেজিস্টার করতে কি ফী লাগবে?
না, পডকাস্ট ল্যাবে আপনি বিনামূল্যে রেজিস্টার করতে পারবেন।
কোন ভাষায় পডকাস্ট করা যাবে?
শুধুমাত্র বাংলায়।
এই কোর্সের সময়সীমা কতদিন?
এটি একটি ৪-সপ্তাহের ল্যাব। শুরু হবে ১৫ জুন থেকে এবং চলবে ১৫ জুলাই পর্যন্ত। এর এক্সটেন্ডেড ভার্সানে আমরা আপনার পডকাস্ট শেষ হওয়া অবধি সাহায্য করব।
পডকাস্টের স্বত্ব কার কাছে থাকবে?
শুধুমাত্র আপনার কাছে।
আমার কোনও পডকাস্ট থাকলেও কি আমি আবেদন করতে পারব?
হ্যাঁ অবশ্যই, তবে ল্যাবে আপনাকে একটা নতুন পডকাস্ট তৈরি করতে হবে।
পডকাস্ট রেকর্ড করতে কী কী সরঞ্জাম দরকার হবে?
কিচ্ছু না! আপনার কল্পনাশক্তি, একটা দুর্দান্ত আইডিয়া আর চলনসই ইন্টারনেট সংযোগ থাকলেই যথেষ্ট। সঙ্গে চাই এক কাপ গরম চা!
পত্র ভারতী বা স্পটিফাই কি আমাকে সরঞ্জাম সরবরাহ করবে?
না, তার দরকারও পড়বে না। যা কিছু তৈরি করবেন সবই তো আপনার ফোন থেকে।
দুজন একসাথে কোনও পডকাস্টে কাজ করতে পারবে?
হ্যাঁ, আপনি আপনার কো-হোস্ট বেছে নিতে পারবেন।
পডকাস্ট ল্যাব শেষ হওয়ার আগেই কি আমি ছাড়তে পারব?
আমরা এমন কিছু মানুষকে খুঁজছি যারা কিছু করে দেখাতে চান। আমরা চাই না কেউ ছেড়ে যাক, তবে কোনও জরুরি প্রয়োজন এলে আমরা আটকাব না।
এই কোর্সটা কি অফলাইন হবে না ভার্চুয়্যাল?
সমস্তটাই উপস্থাপিত হবে ভার্চুয়্যাল মাধ্যমে। বাড়িতে বসেই আপনি পডকাস্টিং শিখতে পারবেন।
বিশেষজ্ঞদের সঙ্গে কি আমি যোগাযোগ করতে পারব?
হ্যাঁ, প্রতিটি সেশনের শেষে আধ-ঘণ্টার জন্য একটি প্রশ্ন/উত্তর পর্ব থাকবে যেখানে বিশেষজ্ঞরা আপনার সমস্যার সমাধান করবেন।
বয়সের কোনও সীমা আছে?

What exactly is Esho Podcast Sikhi?
This is a one-of-a-kind Podcast lab where podcast professionals will mentor you through the whole podcasting process and counsel you through the production and publishing of the first season of your podcast.
What are the basic requirements to apply?
You just need an idea for a podcast to apply. We’ll counsel you through the rest.
Are there any registration fees for this?
Registrations to the Podcast Lab are completely free of cost.
What language should my podcast be in?
The podcast that you will be creating has to be in Bengali.
What is the timeline for this?
This is a 4-week lab starting from 15th June, 2022 till 15th July, 2022 and in the lab’s extended version we’ll be there to counsel you till the completion of your first season.
Who will own the rights to the podcast?
You would be the sole owner of the podcast and we would have no stake in it.
Can I apply if I already have a podcast?
Yes you can, however, you’ll be creating a new podcast as a part of the Lab.
What equipments would I need for the classes and for recording the podcasts?
None !!! You just need your sharp wits, attention to detail, a cup of hot beverage, and a good internet connection.
Would Patra Bharati or Spotify provide any equipment?
No. You won’t need them anyway!! Everything you need to create and publish your podcast would be on your phone.
Can there be 2 people working together on the same podcast?
Yes, you can have a co-host on your podcast.
Can I leave the Program in between?
We are looking for people like Phineas and Ferb, dedicated through and through.
We don’t want you to leave, but when circumstances dictate otherwise, we’ll understand.
Would this be offline or virtual?
The program is completely virtual. Join in with a cup of hot beverage from the comfort of your home.
Would I get to interact with the Experts?
Yes, at the end of every session we will have a 30 min Q/A where you can interact with and clear your doubts directly from the experts themselves.
Is there any age limit?
Yes, you have to be 18 years or older to apply to this Lab.
